A main godown near the highway, a shop in town and a branch in the next district is a common Kerala pattern. Each is set up as a location, with transfer orders between them, so the stock in each place is known without a phone call.
E-way bills between districts
Goods moving from a Kochi or Kozhikode distributor to dealers across Kerala, or arriving from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, need e-way bills above the threshold. We connect Zoho Inventory to the e-way bill portal and make HSN, distance and transporter details mandatory on the invoice.
Moving off a Tally stock register
Many Kerala traders keep stock in Tally with item names that grew over the years. We clean and de-duplicate the item master before importing, load opening stock per godown, and move accounts to Zoho Books at the same time if that is the plan.

Can Zoho Inventory replace stock in Tally?
Yes. The item master, units, tax codes and opening stock per godown move to Zoho Inventory. Accounts can stay in Tally for a while, but most Kerala businesses move them to Zoho Books at the same time so invoices and stock are entered once.
Does Zoho Inventory handle e-way bills for goods moving within Kerala?
Yes. Once Zoho is registered as your GST Suvidha Provider on the e-way bill portal, e-way bills are generated from the invoice in Zoho Inventory. We make the fields the portal needs mandatory on invoices, so bills are not rejected for missing distance or transporter details.
How much does Zoho Inventory cost in Kerala?
Zoho's India prices apply: free for 50 orders a month, then ₹999 to ₹7,499 per organisation per month billed annually, excluding GST (October 2026), depending on orders, users, locations and features such as batch tracking. Our implementation fee is separate and one-off.
Should a Kerala shop use Zoho POS or Zoho Inventory?
A shop billing customers at a counter needs Zoho POS. Zoho Inventory suits the godown, distribution and wholesale side. Many Kerala retailers use both: POS at each shop and Inventory for the central stock.
